This Album is from the 6CD boxed set “Fantail Vision”, released on SlowdownRecords in 2022. The box consists of six new albums recorded between 2020 and 2022, “hinawave" is the album positioned as Disc 4. The first track, "Hinawave #1," is another mix of "Hinawave #2," a song Merzbow contributed to the compilation album "MUTANTS MIXTAPE Vol. 6," which was released as a result of Arca's Discord server. And the second track is a 38-minute non-stop performance.
The first track has a distinctly different style from the version provided for the compilation, with a granular fragmented sound and a bass style that morphs from periodic sounds to drones. The second track is a powerfully ear-catching performance, with its wild fluctuations in pitch compared to other Merzbow works, and its length (38 minutes) creates a psychedelic nuance.
